Sunny Hill Day 9

Elizabeth didn't sleep that well last night, a bit over tired from the outing to Childrens.

Elizabeth can eat regular food now, we just have to help her pace her eating so she doesn't

over do it. This morning she wanted pancakes but had to settle for scrambled eggs and toast with jam.

Elizabeth had PT this morning and got to participate in a rec activity this afternoon when she went looking for her friend Chanel.

Dawn and Kristen came to visit today, they had a good visit that lasted longer before Elizabeth got tired.

Now that Elizabeth has a cast, the splint that Anna made doesnt't fit and is required since Elizabeth is moving her left shoulder and fingers.

We have a meeting with the team next Friday to find out where we have to get to so that we can take Elizabeth home on the weekends.

Janet and I are going to try switching to 24 hour shifts, now that Elizabeth is sleeping better. Less driving for us through the construction on hiway 1.

At Childrens hopsital yesterday they also X-rayed Elizabeth's left shoulder, the clavicle hasn't started to heal yet. The doctors also didn't like the new sling.

No word from Childrens today, I guess that means that they reviewed the X-rays and concluded the cast was the correct option.

Dr. J spoke to the orthopod and they were happy with the ulna in that it has a good callous forming it is safe in the cast. Elizabeth is now asking to have the cast removed, just like she always wanted the splint removed. Elizabeth has an appointment in a couple weeks to have the clavicle re-evaluated.
