Elizabeth had a pretty good day. Longer sleep times, still not through the night but an hour at a time is better than 30 minutes.

Susan came down to help me with the 4 am feeding which was at the 300 ml per hour rate and went well. 2 wheel chair rides and a little wrestling on the bed and we were done. The nurses also decided to give Elizabeth 4 feeding every 4 hours during the day time, so no more feeding in the middle of the night.
Later in the morning Elizabeth was able to get her finger around the feeding tube and removed it. The nurse placed another feeding tube for the 10 am feed, it took 3 attempts and made Elizabeth sneeze multiple times. Elizabeth pulled out the next feeding tube at 8 pm when I arrived back for the night shift. There is a softer feeding tube, but it has to be checked with an X-ray.

Elizabeth got the splint for her left hand. The fitting was done during the 10 am feeding. She only has to wear it for 4 hours on then 4 hours off. The split has become a new source of irritation and it is a little tricky to putting on.
