This morning Elizabeth had her arm and clavicle X-rayed, the orthopedic doctor checked how the arm had healed, he said she actually had a distall radius fracture (so ignore all that stuff I said about the ulna being broken). The fracture had healed enough for the cast to come off. He said clavicle was healing nicely too. He gave us Elizabeth's folder (about an inch thick of paper) and sent use off to have the cast removed. The cast was cut top and bottom in seconds then pryed appart, the padding was cut and the cast removed in not more than a minute.

Elizabeth said her arm felt funny without the cast.
We washed her arm and went back to see the orthopedic doctor who declared the bone had fussed with a small bend that would straighten out as Elizabeth grew. We go back for another follow up in 6 weeks that should show the bone starting to straighten.
We had a break before the opthamologist appointment to test Elizabeth's field of vision so we went to see the physical therapist and occupation therapist Elizabeth had at Childrens.

Fatima and Anna were glad to see Elizabeth and impressed with the progress.
The opthamologist said the field of vision test showed some issues on the left side, we have another appointment in 6 months to see how it is improving.
Back at Sunny Hill we missed all but the Physical Therapy session and the group rec walk around Trout Lake (I hauled the wheel chair the whole way and Elizabeth sat in it for 5 minutes of the hour plus walk).
Mum will bring Elizabeth home for the weekend tomorrow evening. Starting next week we will be back at Sunny Hill for 4 days then have 3 day weekends.
Uncle Bruce and the boys came for a visit, Tom brough us a great pasta dinner and aunt Susan arrived back from her bike trip along the Kettle valley railway.
