Sunny Hill Day 28

Elizabeth got to create an elaborate obstical course at Physical Therapy, that she navigated on the roller board holding a basket ball.

At the end she had to shoot a basket.

Next it was swimming.

Then Elizabeth took the hard food eating test and passed, so now she is on regular food. They noticed she was getting tired so she took a nap and she was still sleeping when Occupational Therapy was scheduled.

When I came in tonight Elizabeth was in the multi-purpose room playing card games with 4 other patients. Tom arrived with a salmon dinner shortly afterward so we got to eat.

Yesterday we were told that Elizabeth needed to be careful for the next year so she doesn't get another brain injury. This means that she can't play any team sports, no group games in gym class, no more playing on the monkey bars after school either and at home no more horse riding, ice skating or bike riding. She is allowed to go swimming, but can't go down the water slide, jump off the diving board or use the rope swing. It is only for a year and next August she will be done.
